The village of Vélez-Rubio is a 3-minute drive away and a 15-minute walk. It's a lively village with several charming terraces, restaurants, squares, and more. Its historic center is a protected cultural heritage site, boasting some beautiful buildings such as the Church of the Encarnation and the museum. There's a weekly market on Saturdays.
The village of Vélez-Blanco is a 10-minute drive away. This charming, picturesque village boasts a 16th-century castle overlooking the surrounding countryside. It offers several charming bars and restaurants, and a weekly market on Wednesdays.
In and around Vélez-Blanco, you can visit several prehistoric caves with rock carvings. The Indalo, the symbol of Almería, was discovered in one of these caves. You can get more information about visiting the caves from the local tourist office in Vélez-Blanco.

- Padel: 3 padel courts, 1 of which is covered, in Vélez-Rubio. Rackets are available from Casa Paco and court rental is available upon request. Courts are available from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

- Cycling / MTB / Cycling: A very varied road network with some challenging elevation gains if desired. Routes can be requested from us (with GPX files if desired), and if desired, you can be dropped off at a starting point to finish at the B&B, with provisions and lunch provided.

Bodega Palomillo: Wine estate with a bodega offering tours and tastings.
Puerto Lumbreras and Lorca are less than a 30-minute drive away and each have a charming town center. Lorca is a city with many shopping opportunities.

Murcia is a lively and charming city with a beautiful historic center, atmospheric squares, and the impressive cathedral at its heart. Thanks to its mild climate, tapas bars, and relaxed lifestyle, it's a wonderful place to stay and explore.
Águilas is a charming coastal town with pristine beaches, a charming harbor, and an authentic Spanish atmosphere. Watersports enthusiasts will definitely enjoy it!
Mojácar is a charming town known for its whitewashed houses, medieval streets, and beautiful beaches with sand dunes.

60- to 90-minute drive

Cartagena is a historic port city full of Roman remains. There are beautiful walking routes that combine city, sea, and history. The old town offers many tapas bars, and just outside the center, you can visit the Licor43 production facility. The tours, tastings, and cocktail workshops are definitely worth it!
Tabernas Desert: This is the most famous and practically the only true desert in Europe. Here you can do all sorts of things: visit film sets, hike in the beautiful surroundings, go on safari/4x4, and cycle/mountain bike tours.
The large and well-known coastal cities of Almería and Alicante are a 90-minute drive away.
